If Trump recovers from COVID, he will claim it was no big deal. However, his outcome means nothing about how most people will cope with COVID. Here is why: - Trump had more frequent testing than everyone else. That led to early detection and treatment not available to you and me.
- Trump had great health insurance, better than virtually any other American.
- Trump had access to treatments that are not available to ordinary Americans, and that most Americans couldn't afford even if they could get them.
- Trump's health care was science based. No Hydoxychloroquin. No convalescent plasma. No bleach. He followed the science, not the politics.
- Trump doesn't have to worry about his pre-existing condition. He is guaranteed health care for the rest of his life. (And I am sure the New York Department of Corrections will be happy to provide him with health care.)
- Trump has all this great care, while trying to take insurance away from millions of other people.
- Trump saying "it's no big deal" will lead to carelessness among millions of people and thousands of deaths.

That is all exactly right and I also predict that when he is discharged he will continue to be careless and infect other people. Watch him attempt to debate with no mask.
His medical team just announced that he is doing very well and may be discharged back to the White House tomorrow where he will receive continued care including a 5-day regimen of remdesivir.

Another thing he might do is now thta he has had it and survived, we have officially beaten the disease and his administration has successfully eradicated the virus so we can all go back to normal.
And his people would eat that up.

Meanwhile Repubs continue to show callous disregard for the rues and the health of anyone else:
Three Republican Minnesota congressmen skirted regulations and hopped aboard a commercial airline amid fears they had been exposed to COVID-19 via President Donald Trump on Air Force One.
Representatives Pete Stauber, Tom Emmer and Jim Hagedorn were on a Delta Air Lines flight Friday night heading back to Minnesota from Washington, dodging restrictions on passengers suspected of recent exposure to COVID-19, The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.
The men had been on Air Force One with Trump flying from Washington to Minnesota and back just two days earlier and knew he announced very early Friday that he had tested positive for COVID-19. Trump may actually have already tested positive on Wednesday, the day the men were with him, according to an initial statement by White House physician Dr. Sean Conley.
Passengers likely exposed to COVID-19 in the previous 14 days cannot travel on Delta, according to the airline’s policy. Exposure is defined as face-to-face contact or sustained contact for more than 15 minutes less than six feet apart with someone who has the virus.

Republican wet dream/Democrat nightmare.
Trumps shows up at the next debate after much speculation. He not only shows up, but comes out swinging. It's the same bombastic and brash Trump flouting all the debate rules again. Biden is helpless. Doesn't know what to do with a man who just survived a brush with death. He can't tell him to shut up this time. The world marvels at the energy and passion of the 74 year man who just survived the worst health episode of his life. Trump walks away with high ratings even though he is the same Trump from the first debate.
He is now back in the game. It smells like 2016 again.
His supporters: Trump is our Superman! He survived the deadly virus that would have killed Biden! And Covid19 is also just a bad flu that anyone healthy can survive. Trump proved it. Doublethink!

The debate on the 15th is a town hall format. Trump has done one this year, and he was TERRIBLE. His supporters may love it if he tried to bully everyone including members of the public. However, I don't think it helps him at all in the election. Basically, the more Trump talks, the better it is for Biden.
Biden is great in town hall formats. He just goes into empathy mode, and he looks really good.

He just goes into empathy mode, and he looks really good. I am aware of that. I should have mentioned Trump skips the next one to continue recovery and everyone will understand. Then shows up at the third one whose format is more to Trump's liking. Biden should insist on still having a debate with a town hall format even if postponed.

I agree that Biden should insist on that. I have no idea if the Commission will agree.

Now isn't that just typical of many if not most dirtbag republicans who have zero respect for anyone's life? And you can bet trump will dump his mask and infect more people the minute he gets away from his doctors.

Then there is this about Trump:
He hosted a super-spreader event to honor a justice who would have the government control your body but refuse the duty to care for it, and when the virus he helped go around came around, he availed of the healthcare he would deny others, financed by the taxes he refuses to pay.

Tweet of the day about Trump catching COVID:
We found the one thing that makes Democrats believe in God and Republicans believe in science
