Thanks for the article. As I said, I attempted to read one of his short stories, but couldn't get through. I am going to have another go at it. It's probably a matter of getting used to his voice.

Ya, in H.S. I had a teacher that had gotten tired of teaching To Kill a Mockingbird. So we read Intruder in the Dust, instead, which she said heavily influenced Mockingbird. There was a "stream of consciousness" moment that went on for over a page, and which, iirc, had a sentence the length of a paragraph. I was done. As I said before, I tried, but chose not to complete one of the Marquez books, and one of the Joyce novels (love his short stories). Just not into stream of consciousness.
