One of the things I find weird are the people who think Harris should be rejected because she cuffed Biden around in a debate.
Being tough on an opponent is supposed to be a liability?
I'm fine with any of the people I've seen mentioned for Biden's shortlist. Although I don't relish the idea of revisiting Benghazi all over again if Rice is picked. It's not like any VP pick is going to make me not vote for Biden.
Mostly, I want to get on with it. I want to buy me some hats.

I hope it's Susan Rice. She's smart, she has experience, and she exudes competence when she speaks. More than anyone else on the list, I think she'd be ready to be president on Day One.
I find her highly charismatic. I don't feel that way with any of the other top-of-the-list candidates. I suppose her drawback is that she has no experience running for office. She won't bring any swing-state voters to the ticket. And we cannot forget: the person that Joe Biden chooses for that VP slot will probably be running the Democratic Party for years to come. In that sense, an experienced pol would be the smart choice.
That said, I'd still pick Susan Rice. IMO, it's not even close.

Grant:
I don't care what state the VP or the candidate come from. I would rather have a good President from any state than a mediocre one from California.

What this really comes down to is what Biden is going to want his VP to do. If he wants his VP to ramrod getting things through Congress (the Hubert Humphrey model), the choice is Bass. She's the low-profile, legislative negotiator that gets things done. If he want his VP to be his ambassador-at-large to repair frayed relationships with allies and confront America's enemies (the Nixon model), that's Rice. If he wants someone who can dip her toe into both of those worlds (the Biden model), that's Harris.
Also, if he what he's looking for is a trusted counselor-in-chief, that's probably Rice.

She ripped Biden a new one. Imagine the possibilities in her debate with Pence and Biden is much better than Pence. Pence is a smooth talker and Kaine could not land a single punch. He tried too hard. I hoped to see Buttigieg as Biden's running mate just to see him eviscerate Pence, but I understand the party's push to select a woman for the VP spot.

In the Year of the Karen Meme, it would be funny if the Democratic Party nominated a black woman named Karen.

She's a Horrible public speaker. IMO she sounds like she's straining on her deathbed to talk. She's a good senator but IMO she could never be elected president. Has the charisma of a snail. I like Abrams but she doesn't have the persona either. Rice is strong, bombastic and commands presence. A candidate needs that.

I am just dreading the return of the endless Benghazi rehash. We all know that faux, oan, and repubs in general are inscrutable liars and propagandists. We have to totally ignore them and focus on the sane people in this country. They'll be screaming Hillareeee and Benghazeeeee until the day we die.
