The press won't be in the rooms where it happens

The rooms where it happens are far from the convention sites these days. So, the press was never really going to be in them. 

But I'm interested to see what the Democrats do for their convention, because they've been planning for a virtual event from the beginning. 

Trump will certainly do something drastic, but cancelling or postponing the election won't keep him in the White House. Politico ran an extensive piece on this topic:

Here's an excerpt:


"In the absence of an election by January, Trump’s time as president will end on January 20, 2021. Article II of the Constitution provides that a president is elected to serve a four-year term, and Trump’s four years will be up on that date. Without a new electoral mandate, he’s out."


The article goes on to explain how Congress would then decide the next president. Without elections, all congressmen would lose their jobs, and so would 35 senators. Result:  the remaining 65 senators would then choose the next president, and guess what?  35 of them are Democrats. 

If you care about this topic, the article is worth reading.

BTW, I long ago predicted that Trump would get us into a war, probably with Iran. North Korea was a possibility, and Trump himself even suggested Venezuela!  But I never expected him to send troops into Portland or Seattle.... 

According to polls, Trump lost all 3 debates with Hillary.

Maybe Pence will win his debates.
