Kennedy had the Bay of Pigs, but he also successfully managed the Cuban Missile Crisis, keeping the USSR out of the Western Hemisphere, and he started the moon program, which helped lay the foundation for our modern information economy.
I don't see any other president having as much impact.

I don't see any other president having as much impact. Agree Impact. But I think had he not been killed he would have went down the Vietnam hole. Everything that happened during LBJ would have been JFK, that would affect his legacy.

Torn between Obama and Eisenhower, but I decided to go with Obama because I am more familiar with him. That may change tomorrow.
Why is Clinton getting so much love? NAFTA, banking deregulation, and the crime bill in retrospect are looking worse and worse. I think he is the worst Democrat president in the postwar. You may say Carter is worse, but we are not feeling the impact of his presidency today.

Imagine this.
Biden wins in November and serves 8 years and leaves office with similar regard to Clinton and Obama.
Then, from the advantage of 2028, people would look back on a 40-year record of Clinton + Obama + Biden versus Bush 41 + Bush 43 + Trump.

CSPAN polled a group of historians in 2017, and here is their ranking: 5 Eisenhower 6 Truman 8 Kennedy 9 Reagan 10 Johnson 12 Obama 15 Clinton 20 Bush 41 25 Ford 26 Carter 28 Nixon 33 Bush 43
Here's the full rankingOur little group seems to like Democrats. If you look just at his accomplishments, Nixon would rate a lot higher. Unfortunately, Nixon was Nixon.
