Actually, it could be the opposite. By throwing money on a low-probability bid by McGrath, Democratic donors may be diverting campaign money from races where the odds are much better. If I was a donor, I wouldn't want to throw my money on a "moral victory" very low probability effort against Mitch, I would want it where I actually had a chance to win (and it was competitive).

I think you're right. It's just such a tragedy to leave moscow m in charge where he can derail everything done by the house or potus except exec. orders.
