The other real question is: Will customers show up? It won't help to open your hair salon if no one comes in. All indications are a pretty large portion of the public won't want to engage in the risky behavior. So you will get the worst of both worlds. Businesses will still struggle and the disease will spread.

Does GA have rent/eviction protection?
Do those protections go away when the state is supposedly "open"?
If I own a restaurant, but can't get enough customers to pay my rent, or decide not to open for the same reason, or just because it's not safe, am I protected from being evicted?
If I rent an apartment and my boss reopens his company but doesn't hire me back because there's not enough business, am I protected from being evicted?
I would imagine those are the kind of "liberal" programs the GOP in GA would try to shut down ASAP, but maybe I'm stereotyping them.

Georgia doesn’t have much in the way of protections for the little guy. They cut corporate taxes and went to an almost flat income tax 10 years ago, but made up lost revenues by taxing small businesses and private vehicle sales.
I’ve read suggestions that this is Kemp’s way of trying to save on unemployment expense because their system is not well funded. You can’t collect unemployment if your employment opens up and has work available.
