Electoral votes needed to flip the election: 39
NOTE: To flip the Electoral College, it is only necessary to flip 39 electoral votes. That would increase the Democratic number by 39 AND reduce the Repub number by 39. Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin would do it.

Sorry about the messed up format on the titles.
It should be like the lower table: Electoral votes, 2016 margin, Biden's lead (according to RCP), and the date of the most recent poll.
I don't love the RCP averages, but they are the only ones aggregating polls right now, so they are the best I can find.
The poll are encouraging, but is over 6 months to go, and there is the issue of voter suppression.

Thanks, this is good info. But of course, as you stated: way too early...

mh, where are you getting the data? Maybe I can help putting them into HTML tables.

Here is the list of presidents who won reelection in the last 100 years when a recession occurred within the two years prior to the election.

mh, where are you getting the data? Maybe I can help putting them into HTML tables. The problem is that these forums don't seem to recognize HTML tags. I tried using <pre>, but it still converts a series of spaces into a single space. I had to find another invisible character that it doesn't filter out. If you have other suggestions, I am open to them. I am taking the data from Real Clear Politics, since Five Thirty Eight isn't doing poll averages yet. And as far as I can tell, Pollster has gone away.

Try this:
- Use the BBCode tab
- Create your table in html in a text editor
- Replace "<"s with "[" - Replace all ">"s with "]" - Copy the whole thing and insert in the BBCode tab - Check it on the preview tab.
My experiment is on the Test forum in your test thread. I created the table using the native table button at the top and looked at it on the BBCode tab.
