Comparing Stats (and Pac-12 ranks)
COMMENTS
We have a BIG edge on defense. We are elite on defense.
Here are our national ranks in dfense.
Arizona is little above average at defense in the Pac-12.
We are currently tied in the Pac-12. Our three conference wins are WSU, Stanford, and Colorado. Theirs are Stanford, WSU, and Oregon State. They clearly have the best win over OSU, although that is at home. The Beavers have not been a good road team and this season is no different. They are 2-2 on the road with wins over San Jose State and Cal, and road losses to WSU and Arizona.
Sagarin's predictor would make the Bruins 7-point favorites.
I should feel pretty confident about this game. The only big mismatch in the game is our defense vs their offense, and it favors us. However, trips to Tucson make me nervous.
Maybe I am still scarred by out 2005 road trip, when we went into the game 8-0 and ranked #7 in the country. A 2-6 Arizona team beat us 52-14, and the game wasn't that close.
However, putting BBS aside, bet the farm on us to win this game. (I am assuming none of you own a farm.)
