Where does Putin see a path to victory in Ukraine? The Ukrainian military has fought his army to a standstill. The international economic sanctions should over time cripple the Russian economy. The Russian army has been exposed as being corrupt, poorly equipped and led. He's played his nuclear card, and nothing happened.

Is he now like Hitler was? Isolated, surrounded by sycophants and blaming everyone but himself.

I think he is either surrounded by sycophants who are telling him he is winning, or he is surrounded by people who he doesn't trust and he is afraid that if he doesn't win something substantial, he will be killed.
