Frank has been very busy:

Of course, Dinos Trigonis is all over the place too. The article before these covered the Pangos event in Texas and 24/7 has an article covering the FR-SO Pangos Showcase back East.
You'll probably notice some names getting mentioned over and over again. The two most prominent are 8th graders and I saw both at the FR-SO Showcase in Long Beach: 5-10 Isaiah Rogers and 6-6 Tyran Stokes (Stokes is all over these articles).
Unlike quite a few of the 2025 and 2024 prospects, some of whom are 16 or 17, these guys both look like they're 12 by their faces. Frank notes that Stokes turned 14 on October 12 so he was 13 when I saw him (I was told he was 13, so somebody actually told me the truth).
Stokes has size 18 shoes and I think he's going to grow. He really does have a remarkably advanced feel for the game. He often got a defensive stop or rebound and then drove the ball the length of the floor... sometimes to hit a teammate with a perfect pass for a layup or dunk. I would guess more in the 220-225 range for his weight: He has a pretty big body, THT-style, and I think a lot of people get fooled and don't realize how fast, mobile and agile he is as a result.
Rogers is a super-quick scoring machine. He can blow by you off the dribble and pull up for the short J or just hit a 3 over you. As I noted in an earlier post on the showcase, he has perfect form on his J off the bounce even from NBA range, unusual for someone so short. A lot of little guys shoot on the way up (I would guess Rogers weighs about 140).
He's not a PG, but I imagine he might very well start for Corona Centennial as a FR. Jared McCain, Devin Williams and Aaron McBride, among others, will still be there.
Amari Bailey, Kijani Wright, Shy Odom, Jeremiah Nyarko and Ramel Lloyd will all be gone from Sierra Canyon. No doubt, they will recruit more guys. But there's something to be said for continuity.
Rogers plays for the Compton Magic AAU program.
I've heard tell of a new local AAU program taking form and some of the top players mentioned here are likely going to wind up playing for that team.
That's a dang tall high school team down in San Ysidro.
