With Whitehead and Filipowski, two forwards in his class coming in, and with not much talk about 6-7 5 star 2021 Adrian Griffen being one and done (Paulo Banchero of Duke will be one and done), versus Jaquez and Juzang both likely to leave and lots of media speculation that Watson will leave, it seems to be that Mitchell will see a much bigger opportunity for PT at UCLA than at Duke. Plus, he's spent a lot of time out in LA since his Uncle lives here.
Meanwhile, 24/7 reports that Kyle Smith keeps luring tall Nigerians to Pullman:
Bossi seems to be paying attention to what Mitchell has said repeatedly in public: That he wants to see everyone play before making a decision and that would mean December or later. So, the idea that he'll commit to Duke in October without seeing anyone play makes no sense. He might still commit to Duke later, but I think Rivals is exaggerating the "last visit" angle here.
