We haven't spoken in the last couple of days, but this was in the news a few hours ago.
FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - A Broward county teacher who contracted COVID-19 is being treated with potentially life-saving plasma.
The news comes after the family of Stefanie Miller made a desperate plea for donations.
Doctors think antibodies from someone who beat the virus could help her beat it too.
After some delays, they found a donor and administered that treatment.
Doctors tell her family it could take weeks before seeing any improvement.

There is a local doctor who was a deaths door with COVID 19 and got the plasma treatment. He has since recovered and been released.
They showed a recent clip of Sean Payton donating plasma during the NFL draft coverage.

At this point, it is the most promising treatment. It is still not a proven thing.
IF it works, then there is the problem of how to scale it. There would have to be quite a ramp-up in our ability to collect the plasma.
Or we would need to find a way to produce a synthetic version.
That is the unspoken (except perhaps by Bill Gates) second issue with a vaccine. We don't have the capacity to produce it in the quantities needed for the US, let alone the rest of the world. The US would need around 250 Million does. We have no idea how complex the process of producing it would be.
And we have to keep producing other necessary vaccines at the same time, unless we want more measles outbreaks or a bad flu season.
IF YOU ARE NOT UP ON YOUR VACCINES, GET ON IT AS SOON AS IS PRACTICAL. They may be in short supply in 6 months.
