The surveillance video of the hero disarming the Monterey Park shooter is just incredible:
And he could have lost that fight. The hero should have just shot him when he took away the gun.

The hero is the dance hall owner's son. Speculating here but I think he was more concern with having the gunman leave the premises. I don't think the hero knew about the shooting in Monterey Park so maybe he thought it was just a robbery.
