has taken charge of the Israeli government. So expect more repression and killing of the Palestinians and more drum beating for war with Iran. It appears the Israelis have sunk as low as the gop.

Never been there, never had long talks with an Israeli for more than a decade, but Netanyahu coming back the way he did tells me that's one seriously dysfunctional society over there.
Projecting a bit from my casual Erdoğan watching over the years, to be sure, but I feel like the dynamics are probably similar. The same way Trump is still a thing here.

Never been there, never had long talks with an Israeli for more than a decade, but Netanyahu coming back the way he did tells me that's one seriously dysfunctional society over there. Projecting a bit from my casual Erdoğan watching over the years, to be sure, but I feel like the dynamics are probably similar. The same way Trump is still a thing here. I've had an Israeli friend for 30 yrs. He thinks all Palestinians should be pushed into the sea including women and children. He's a big Bubba Netanyahu fan. He knows my opinion. For obvious reasons we don't discuss much on that topic. At least he does't accuse me of being anti-Semitic, which I'm not. |

For obvious reasons we don't discuss much on that topic. At least he doesn't accuse me of being anti-Semitic, which I'm not. From what I hear, that's a common opinion in Israel. Hatred of Palestinians runs deep. Of course, it goes both ways. And both sides have legitimate reasons to hate each other. However, it seems like Israel, with it's terrible settlement policy, keeps making things worse. |
