Two cows are standing next to each other in a field. Daisy says to Dolly, 'I was artificially inseminated this morning.' 'I don't believe you,' says Dolly. 'It's true; no bull!' exclaims Daisy.
The Least Popular Man in Georgia and the Least Popular Man in Texas Walk Into a Rally
With less than two weeks until Election Day and Georgia voters casting early ballots in record numbers, Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker will be back on the trail Thursday followed again by clouds of scandal surrounding a new allegation he pressured a woman into having an abortion.
Walker will be joined on the campaign trail this time around by Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, who will stump for the GOP nominee during at least three stops on Walker’s bus tour of the Peach state. Cruz arrives in Georgia a little more than two weeks after fellow Republican Sens. Rick Scott of Florida, the chair of the party’s Senate campaign arm, and Tom Cotton of Arkansas did the same in a show of unity amid the controversy surrounding the first woman’s allegations.

The Economy May Be Growing on Me (and You)The U.S. economy expanded significantly to kick off the second half of the year, marking a dramatic reversal from the contraction experienced over the first six months, government data showed. U.S. gross domestic product grew 2.6% over the three months ending in September, according to data released Thursday. By contrast, economic activity shrank a combined 2.2% over the first six months of the year. The Fed’s preferred measure of inflation — the price index for Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) — fell from a 7.1% annual growth rate in the 2nd quarter to 4.1% in the 3rd quarter. The PCE price index without Food and Energy (another key measure) came in at 4.4%, down a little from the 2nd quarter.

Abandon Hope All KanYe Who Enter. Skechers Says They Don't Want to Do Business With This Sketchy Guy.
Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, was booted from Skechers’ corporate offices in Los Angeles on Wednesday after he showed up uninvited and unannounced, the company said.
In a statement, the shoemaker said two executives escorted Ye and others from the company’s offices following a brief conversation and after he “engaged in unauthorized filming.”
“Skechers is not considering and has no intention of working with West,” the company said, adding that it condemned recent antisemitic comments that prompted a backlash among companies that had business deals with him.

Holy Weed! Order Your Pot From This Order.
Merced County sits in the middle of California's Central Valley.
For as far as the eye can see, there are identical rows of crops, with the occasional farmhouse or family home.
One of these homes looks unassuming from the outside.
There's nothing unusual about the building or the land around it, except that there's a small group of women, wearing pristine white habits, burning incense, and singing hymns as they walk in step blessing their cannabis plants.
These women are the "Sisters of the Valley," better known as the Weed Nuns.
Lead by Sister Kate, the women are members of a self-proclaimed enclave of nuns who identify as healers and feminists, but more importantly, business people. They do not represent an official religion.

The Front Line in the War for Survival From Warming
Deep inside the Arctic Circle, the Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard is home to the world's northernmost permanent settlement, Longyearbyen, which is estimated to be heating at six times the global average. So what is being done to save it?
Life on Svalbard feels about as precarious as it gets in a place that is not at war or riven with famine.
You need a gun whenever you venture from the main road of Longyearbyen, the capital of this Norwegian archipelago, because of the risk of encountering polar bears.
Diminishing ice has reduced their hunting ground which means it is harder for them to find seals. So more bears are exploring built-up areas in search of food and are now eating reindeer - not their usual prey.
And with the rising temperature causing an unprecedented thawing of frozen ground, the growing risk of avalanche hangs over this Arctic community in winter. In summer, mudslides are more likely than ever to wipe out everything in their path.
You feel on borrowed time here in what successive scientific studies have found is the fastest-warming place on Earth.
Experts from the Norwegian Polar Institute are among those who calculate it is heating six times faster than the global average.
The consensus is that the temperature in Svalbard has jumped 4C in the past 50 years.
Wildlife and human life are now in a struggle to survive. This is why Limstrand's congregation is praying for help.
Maybe the Weed Nuns Can Pray For Them

Thank You Vlad
One unintended consequence of his massive folly will probably be the most painful of all for Russia: Spurring a marked acceleration of alternative, cleaner forms of energy, according to a report just released by the International Energy Agency (IEA).
The annual report by the world’s most authoritative forecast of global energy trends points to a significant shift in energy planning by the world’s most developed countries, spurred by higher fuel prices resulting from Russia’s disrupting of global energy markets, most notably in fossil fuel production. As reported by Brad Plumer, writing for the New York Times, Putin, as leader of the leading natural gas exporter in the world, has managed to accomplish what climate scientists and activists have unsuccessfully lobbied for over the past twenty years: a peak target in fossil fuel consumption worldwide and a more rapid shift to renewables and other cleaner technologies such as wind, solar and nuclear power.

Pence: "Religious Freedom" Means Everyone Accepts My Religion
Former Vice President Mike Pence claimed during a Wednesday appearance on Fox Business that the First Amendment to the United States Constitution does not protect Americans from having other people's faiths forced upon them. Pence and host Larry Kudlow share an interpretation that strays wildly from what Jefferson, Franklin, and Madison clearly spelled out more than two centuries ago.
"These lefties want to scrap religion, Mike Pence, and I think it's a terrible mistake," Kudlow griped.
"Well, the radical left believes that the freedom of religion is the freedom from religion. But it's nothing the American founders ever thought of or generations of Americans fought to defend," Pence said.
But Pence was not finished. He also suggested that the Supreme Court's right-wing supermajority has a duty to side with one faith over another. Today, that means the GOP's embrace of Christian nationalism.
"You know, I said today here in Houston that the source of our nation's greatness has always been our faith in God, our freedom, and our vast natural resources. And the good news is, that after four years of the Trump-Pence administration, I'm confident that we have a pro-religious freedom majority on the Supreme Court of the United States. And I'm confident that come Election Day, November the 8th, you're gonna see that freedom majority around the country turn out and vote pro-freedom majorities in the House, and in the Senate, and in statehouses around the country," Pence said. "So stay tuned, Larry. Help is on the way."

They Pried It Out of His Cold, Dead Fingers
The 19-year-old suspect who killed a teacher and a 15-year-old student in a shooting spree at a St Louis high school on Monday had the assault rifle he used confiscated by police just days before his attack.
The St Louis police commissioner has confirmed that shortly before the school shooting, officers were called to the man’s home by his parents who were worried about him and wanted the AR-15 style rifle removed.
“The mother at the time wanted it out of the house,” the commissioner said.
A police statement obtained by the St Louis TV station KMOV records that officers took the view the teenager was lawfully permitted to possess the weapon despite substantial evidence of troubled behavior. His family told police they had arranged for the teen to be treated for mental health issues, had put him on medication and had even overseen a stay in a mental health institution.
It appears police arranged for the rifle to be taken away by a “third party known to the family”, but that the teenager took it back. It is not known how he regained possession, though St Louis police have confirmed it was the gun used in Monday’s deadly attack. There have been 40 school shootings in the US this year resulting in injuries or deaths, according to a tracker compiled by Education Week, including the massacre at Robb elementary school in Uvalde, Texas in May in which 19 children and two teachers died.
This year’s running total is more than the figure for any entire year since the database was begun, in 2018.

Damn! I Don't Have a Diet Coke Valet
Everyone knows about Trump’s addiction to fast food and diet coke. But I had no idea Trump had a personal diet coke valet. Who could have predicted that; but he did. The man responded every time Trump wanted a coke; he would push the “diet coke” button to alert his valet. The valet served him twelve diet cokes daily from a hallway refrigerator just steps from the Oval Office and dining room.
When confronted with security video evidence of moving documents out of the storage room at Mar-a-Lago, that man told untruths to the FBI, but he eventually reported the traitor to the FBI with solid evidence that TFG had top-secret documents at the Mar-a-Lago residence.
